Destinations:
False Albacore at Cape Lookout, N.C.
On-Line Fishing Charters is going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Having experienced the incredible Fall Albacore Blitz we felt the fishing was too good to pass up. We are sending one of our new boats, the Conch 27', to Harkers Island for the months of October, November and part of December. We will be working closely with a small group of local guides. We felt that for those of you who have chased the elusive albacore in New England waters this would be a dream come true. Anglers frequently catch and release as many as 20 Albies a day in this incredible fishery. You will find acres of frenzied albacore smashing baitballs the size of basketball courts. Diving birds lead anglers to these fish feeding aggressively on the abundant bait supply. Unlike the frequently finicky behavior of New England Albacore these fish are here for only one reason and that is to feed. While fly size and color does matter, these fish are far more willing to take flies than what most of us have experienced in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. These fish are also not targeted commercially or recreationally in North Carolina so there is little to no fishing pressure here. During the peak weeks of October and November it is unusual for there to be more than a handful of boats amongst all of the schools of albacore.
The Outer Banks also offer a wide range of other species worthy of your attention. Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and Speckled Sea Trout abound in these pristine waters. Offshore wrecks provide outstanding fishing for King Mackerel, Wahoo and Dolphin. Giant Bluefin provide excitement in the late Fall and Winter. All of this is only a short plane trip from Boston. Daily flights to some of the smaller airports like Morehead City, and New Bern provide anglers with easy access to this great fishery. Fares have been as low as $200 for round trip flights from Boston to Morehead City. We can help with suggestions for airlines and destinations to make your visit as convenient as possible. In fact, if you fly to Morehead City or New Bern we will gladly arrange for you to be met and driven to your hotel.
Our all inclusive packages take care of your hotel, two meals a day and all of your fishing needs. Relax and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant while On-Line Fishing Charters provides your breakfast and lunch on the boat. We have the experience, the crew and the equipment to provide you with an unforgettable angling experience. Come join us for a trip you won't soon forget. Call soon as space is limited.
Outer Banks Special Packages start at $900 per angler for three days of guided fishing, lodging and two meals a day. This is based on double occupancy. Third angler rates are at $700 for the same package. Should you wish to bring additional anglers we can likely set you up with one of the top local guides working with us.
